Easter Egg Card...

Since I have received a few requests about

how I made the Easter "egg-shaped" card for

Digital Delights,

I would like to share with you some steps on
how to achieve this.

First, this is the finished card

you'll need the Spellbinders Grand Oval dies

First step, is to cut (2) pieces from the biggest die,

you use one for the card base and half of the other to

complete the easel style card.

Then fold the first piece in half and the top half

fold it again towards the center.

Next step, glue the cut in half portion to the front of the

folded piece, making sure you achieve the oval shape.

For decorating, I used the next size die for the

designer paper. Then you can embellish as you like.

Hope this helps you create this easel type card

on time for you Easter greeting cards.

Hi, Friends! Anyone for coffee today? When I saw this stamp

I fell in love with it, because it remembered my morning coffee...hmmm!

This lovely stamp is Coffee Birgitta by CC Designs,
and the card was showcased at 7 Kids Blog.

I made the card using Spellbinders Grand Labels 4,

also used Spellbinders-Floral Flourishes , S pellbinders Circles

Other: Pearls, Twine, Heart Charm

Here's a look at the inside, the embellishments were cut from

one of the papers in the collection.

Paper is from Bo Bunny and I had this pad for a while.

Today I have a project prepared a few months ago

It's a lovely yarn and felt wreath

that's placed at the door of my

scraproom.

Take a look!

A few months ago I visited a very good friend

that moved recently to Florida.

We went to the Southern Women Fair in Orlando and

saw this wonderful project there.

Then we got together and started creating

and this is the result. Love it!!

All flowers are hand-cut from several felt colors.

The wreath is made of straw and covered completely with yarn.

Try Something New!

Today is my first post as DT for the 7 Kids Challenge Blog!

I am very happy to be part of their team and the challenge for this week

is to Try Something New.
Just use a new technique, idea, or product.

Here's the card I made for this challenge

Coloring with my copics on kraft paper was really

something new for me to try.

It's a little bit tricky because the usual colors

might not work, I had to use darker shades to

get through the dark paper.

Liked the result, although not really happy

...just have to keep practicing.

Hi, To all!!

This week my family and I celebrate Christmas, this year

we are planning a get-together
with our neighbors and friends, as well.

Since yesterday we are all decorating our houses and lawns

with bright colored lights and other Xmas decorations.

Our street looks very bright and happy!

My son will be traveling from California, too!

He's looking forward to have some homemade food!! hahaha....

This year I prepared this card for my friends and family.

The will be the last challenge on the

Mami Doodles Blog,

And the theme is...

"Altered Art/Home Decor"

I used the Baby's First Christmas image for my project:

I am going to place baby Andrea's photo soon, that's why

I colored her outfit pink. In the meantime I placed a sentiment.

I also punched several leaves and glued them

together and some tiny flowers too with a ME punch.

Since it is a busy time now we'll extend this challenge
to run for 4 weeks, until January 12th, midday GMT.

Cards using Mami Doodles images - including freebies -

will have two entries on the draw. The Prize will be:
Bea the Butterfly, Peter and the Pudding, and
Baby's First Christmas images,
plus one of your choice.
